Happy New Year! Wow, 2015. It sounds so grown up!
After a whirlwind year which saw my debut novel hit the bookshelves, I’m starting 2015 with great excitement about the publication of my second novel, A MEMORY OF VIOLETS, which hits the shops in just less than a month. For a book that was first written in 2012, it seems to have come around oh so quickly in the end! I can’t wait to share the book with readers and am gearing up for lots of lovely interviews on the forthcoming blog tour, which kicks off on January 26th (more to come on that).
For now, I just want to share my word for 2015, which is BLOOM. Given the floral theme of A MEMORY OF VIOLETS and my grand plans to push myself further in my writing this year, it felt rather apt.
What is your word for 2015?

“Thrive” is the first word that popped into my head. It fits! Can’t wait to read A MEMORY OF VIOLETS! Happy New Year!
‘Thrive’ is a great word, Nancy! Happy New Year :) x
For me, hopeful will be my word: Hopeful of another joyous year with family (including our newest family member, our little rescue dog who has surgery this week), hopeful that there will be peace where there is none, hopeful to continue to be able to find time to read wonderful books like your “The Girl Who Came Home!”
Hello, Janice. ‘Hopeful’ is a wonderful word to choose. Wishing you a very Happy New Year :) x
