The March madness has well and truly started here. Last week, I was so excited to go back to my old school in Driffield, East Yorkshire to talk to the Creative Writing students. It was a real trip down memory lane wandering around the school corridors and yes, I felt very old! Later that evening, I spoke at Beverley Library as part of their #BetweenTheLines series of author events for their Literature Festival. It was such a lovely evening with lots of great questions and a really engaged audience, plus a surprise visit from my aunts!
On Thursday evening, I officially launched A Memory of Violets at Dubray Books in Dublin. Andrea Hayes of sunshine radio 106.8 spoke so kindly about the book and the evening was a lovely celebration with family and friends.

On Saturday, I had a local signing at Barker & Jones in Naas and, again, it was lovely to see lots of familiar faces popping in to pick up a copy of the book.

This week, I have more events taking place:
On Wednesday evening, I will be chatting to Brenda Drumm on ArtyFacts, KFM
On Thursday evening, I am taking over the @Harper360UK Twitter feed for an online chat and Q&A between 7 and 9pm. Do pop in and ask me anything you’d like to know about my books and my writing.
On Saturday, I am signing books at Waterstones Drogheda from 1.30-2.30pm (a great chance to pick up a gift for Mother’s Day!)
On Sunday, at 4pm, I am speaking about my path to publication, and the inspiration and the history behind my novels at Kanturk Arts Festival in County Cork. The Festival event page on Facebook has more detail. Plenty of space, so if you are in the area, I would love to see you.
I hope you manage to find me, listen to me, or chat online to me at one event or another!
And in the meantime, I am continuing to work on Book Three and my novella for the WWI anthology, A Fall of Poppies. Busy, busy – I need coffee!
