I’m very excited to be participating in my first official author events at the Romantic Novelists’ Association summer conference in Telford, England in July. I’ve watched the exchanges of excitement and enjoyment about this event on my Twitter and Facebook feeds for the last few years and felt like Cinderella watching everyone else go to the ball! Well, now it’s my turn!
First, I’ll be taking part in an author showcase event at Wellington Library, Telford on 10th July. From 3-4pm I’ll be joining several other authors for ‘Tea and Tales of Yesterday and Today’ – a relaxed hour of chatting about the novels you love and the stories you want to read, all in the great tradition of Afternoon Tea. Details of all the author events taking place at the library, and how to reserve a place, are available on the Telford & Wrekin Libraries Facebook page. Hope to meet some of you there!
I will also be taking part in ‘Love of the Past’ – a ‘meet-the-author’ and book fair event at Blists Hill Victorian Town, Madely, Telford on 11th July. From 10am to 2pm join me and lots of other authors representing the periods they write in, from Roman history all the way through to early 20th century. We will all be dressed in period costume (which should be fun!) and will be chatting about our books, the period we write. There will be books available to purchase and a few treats too.

On the Saturday at the actual conference I’ll be talking about Titanic and how the event combines romance and disaster. I’ll also be talking about writing The Girl Who Came Home and how I made the journey from self published writer to traditionally published writer and New York Times best seller.
I think I might need a very long lie down by the time I get back to Ireland on the Sunday evening!

And after all that, I’ll be appearing at the Historical Novel Society conference in London in September. Details to follow.

Sounds Enchanting! Enjoy!
The Girl Who Came Home – a winner for sure! Loved this book and look forward to more of Hazel’s writings. First time novel! Wow!
Hi Donna, thank you so much for your kind words. I love hearing from readers and I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know that you enjoyed the book! x
