Only a couple of weeks to go until A MEMORY OF VIOLETS goes on sale in the USA, and to thank anyone who pre-orders the book, I am busy writing a letter which gives a very personal insight to the background to the novel, a little extra about the history behind it, and why it is so special to me. Anyone who pre-orders the book will be sent this exclusive signed letter, on publication day, February 3rd (and this applies internationally). The letter will also be designed to incorporate some of the beautiful interior illustrations from the novel.

In other news, I was delighted to receive two lovely reviews for the book this week. One from Romantic Times Book Reviews (with a four star rating) and one from New York Journal of Books. It’s such a relief to see these reviews and to know that the book is being well-received (does this part ever get any easier, I wonder?!)
While I was in New York last November, I recorded a short video for the Library Marketing team. I am very lucky to have a fantastic library – and a very helpful librarian – in my home town, and this short video explains why the facility is so important to me and the community. It also includes a short teaser for A MEMORY OF VIOLETS.
