I’ve been bursting to share this news since first hearing a few weeks ago – THE GIRL WHO CAME HOME is shortlisted for the Romantic Novelists’ Association Historical Romance Novel award!!!
The RoNAs are such a highly regarded award that I truly couldn’t be happier, or more proud to be in the same category as the amazing Isabel Wolff (Ghostwritten), fellow Irish writer, Susan Lanigan (White Feathers), Charlotte Betts (The Spice Merchant’s Wife), Stephen Burke (The Good Italian) and Marina Fiorato (Beatrice and Benedick) .
Details of how the titles were selected and the full list of shortlisted authors in all categories are on the RNA website.

The awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on March 16th and will be presented than none other than Barbara Taylor Bradford!
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported this book from its very humble beginnings. I feel like an immensely proud mother.
And now I need to find something to wear!

Oh, that’s wonderful Hazel. I absolutely loved The Girl Who Came Home. I actually reread it a couple of weeks ago. I then passed it to my daughter who said she saw every emotion imaginable as I read it cross my face. :) Needless to say Hazel, she loved it and it’s now on her bookshelf as a keeper. I’m so happy for you. My prayers aren’t really needed as I think it’s a no brainer who will win. :) The best of luck. And OMG, Barbara Taylor Bradford. Just awesome.

Thank you so much, Carol! How lovely to hear that you, and your daughter, both enjoyed the book. That makes me a very happy author indeed! And thank you for your congratulations and support. x
I loved this book! Congratulations on your award! I have chosen this book for my next book club pick. Can’t wait for others to enjoy it as much as I did. I lost a great uncle on the Titanic so it was so interesting (as well as devastatingly sad) to read all the details about life aboard the ship.
Thank you, Mary. So lovely to hear you enjoyed the book and how very sad that your great uncle was lost in the tragedy. x
Great news Hazel – fabulous recognition and richly deserved! Will certainly be tuning in on 16 March to hear the result – fingers crossed for you xx
Thank you, Debbie :) x
