At last. It is here! Publication day of THE GIRL WHO CAME HOME in the UK and Ireland, brought to you by the wonderful team at HarperCollins360 and Harper360UK!! I could be tempted to mark this occasion with pints of Guinness and Union Jack flags – but I’m far more sophisticated than that …

No idea how they got there.
Instead, I’d like to mark publication day ‘this side of the pond’ by simply saying that I am SO happy to know that my book is now available OVER HERE. To know that I can pop into the local bookshop and show my boys the book that was written by their mummy is very exciting (for me – if not for them!). On that note, I’ll be heading out to book-spot very soon. *WARNING* – there may be selfies.

Thank you so much to everyone who has already bought the book, talked about the book, Liked my Facebook page, interviewed me, reviewed the book and tweeted about the book since it’s American launch on April 1st. You can read reviews here and can listen to podcasts of me talking about the book on US radio. I’ll be talking about the book on the Daire Nelson show on LMFM at 12.15pm today. To mark the publication, my publisher is running a giveaway on Goodreads and there are also three copies of the book up for grabs on Historical Honey.
I’m not sure when my excitement about all this will end – quite possibly never – and since I posted a 1970s style selfie for the American publication day, I feel obliged to do the same today (apologies) …

Finally, here is the link to a post I shared on April 1st, looking back over the journey THE GIRL and I have taken to publication. Here’s to the next stage of this exciting writing adventure.

Love that picture on the roller skates :)
Can’t wait to get a copy on Tuesday at the launch! Enjoy it all! :)
Congratulations Hazel.
How very wonderful! Your enthusiasm and joy are contagious! I feel so privileged to have already read the book! I loved it and knew it would be a most welcome addition to the literary world!
